Where the story began
Claire & Richard first contacted me whilst they were away on holiday….getting engaged….talk about flattered….I certainly was! They had both seen Chester Wedding Photographer Laura-Louise of CaptureMy Wedding “in action”, only a few weeks previously, when Claire was Bridesmaid for her Sister, Kerry.
Something old, something new…
Claire’s bridal preparations with her Bridesmaids took place at Claire’s Mum’s house, only a short distance from the Holy Ascension Church, Upton, Chester. The Church is a favorite with the family and their wedding car had significance too, because Richard’s Sister had used the same car for her wedding, only a few months earlier.
Now for something totally different
After a romantic church ceremony packed with family and friends, the rain had taken control so we decided to capture the confetti shot before everyone headed to Mickle Trafford for a drinks reception in the stunning Trafford Hall; wonderfully decorated in a vintage wedding theme.
The uninvited rain meant we took the group photographs indoors in the Grand Ballroom…. but what a fabulous room to use! With its feature fireplace and wonderful vintage decorations, it certainly provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding photographs before the afternoon tea wedding breakfast was served in the breathtaking tipi on the rear lawn of Trafford Hall. The guests were amazed and it was lovely to hear their admiration of the fabulous details inside the tipi and table decorations.
Chester Wedding Photographer captures a couple in love
We were blessed with an evening of sunshine and took full advantage of the dry weather as we wandered around the grounds and captured Claire and Richard being playful and romantic in the gardens of Trafford Hall.
Once the emotion of the first dance had passed, toasting the huge marshmallows on the fire pit was certainly popular with the wedding guests, but not quite as popular as the band and DJ and the dance floor was bustling with lots of sandal wearing guests (gifts from the Bride & Groom) until late. What a great way to get everyone up on the dance floor…Genius!
A huge heartfelt congratulations and thank you to Claire and Richard for choosing me as your wedding photographer and may you have a lifetime of happiness ahead of you!
